Last Saturday I picked up the new Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-f4 to use with my Nikon D3. I got this photo within an hour of purchasing and it quickly became my new favorite lens! I was driving to UVA when I saw this parked outside a shade-tree mechanic near Warrenton so I pulled off of 29 to get this picture. The light was absolutely perfect and the color and contrast of this lens is stunning. I know nothing about old Chevys so someone please help me out and name this car!

I think it’s a Chevy Nomad

You can see several pillars through the windshield so it’s a regular ‘57 4 door wagon.

You’re driving to UVA and couldn’t find a Cavalier to photograph?

Gorgeous pic of a gorgeous car!
Looks like a regular Bel Air Wagon of sorts, it can’t be a Nomad because that was a 2 door wagon and I see more door pillars.

Not a Nomad as others have pointed out. Just a wagon.

I try to photograph only special cars. Like a Pontiac Sunfire for example. In all seriousness though there was an 80s Corolla FX in the same yard that I am kicking myself for not photographing ARRRGH!
